Author Guidelines

1. General Provisions

Manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Poros must be original works, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration by other journals. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

2. Length and Language of Manuscripts

  • Manuscript length: approximately 10-15 pages
  • Line spacing: 1.5 spaced
  • Language: Bahasa Indonesia (English manuscripts are accepted)

3. Abstract and Keywords

  • The abstract should not exceed 200 words
  • It must briefly describe the importance of the topic, research objectives, methods, main findings, and conclusion
  • The abstract should be written in a single paragraph
  • Three to five keywords should be provided below the abstract, using 11 pt font

4. Author Identity (Double-Blind Review)

To support the blind review process:

  • Author names (without academic titles), institutional affiliations, and the corresponding author’s email address must be provided only on a separate cover sheet
  • The main manuscript file must not contain any author-identifying information

5. Author Biography

Contributors are required to submit a short biography (maximum 50 words) describing:

  • Current position
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Research interests or areas of expertise

6. Formatting Requirements

  • Manuscript format: Microsoft Word
  • Font type: Cambria (in accordance with the Jurnal Poros template)
  • Font size: 12 pt
  • Paper size: A4

Margins:

  • Top and left: 2.5 cm
  • Bottom and right: 2.5 cm

7. Manuscript Layout

  • The main text should be arranged in one column, except for tables and figures
  • Use a first-line indent of 1 cm for each paragraph
  • No indentation is applied to:
  • The first paragraph after the main title
  • The first paragraph after each subheading
  • Block quotations should be indented 1 cm and written in 11 pt font

8. Structure of Research Articles

Research-based articles should be organized as follows:

  • Title (maximum 16 words, centered, 14 pt font)
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction (without heading or subheading)
  • Methodology
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References

9. Proportion of Article Sections

  • Introduction: 15–20% of the total manuscript length
  • Methodology: 10–15%
  • Discussion: 40–60%
  • Conclusion: concise and proportional

10. Tables and Figures

  • Use horizontal lines only for tables
  • Table and figure titles should be placed above
  • Data sources must be clearly stated
  • Figures must have a minimum resolution of 300 DPI

11. Citation and References

  • Citation and referencing must follow APA Style (7th Edition)
  • In-text citation format: (Author, Year)
  • Direct quotations must include page numbers (p. 7 or pp. 7–9)
  • All cited sources must appear in the reference list, and all references must be cited in the text
  • At least 80% of references should be published within the last ten years
  • Authors are required to use Mendeley as a reference management tool
  • Authors are encouraged to cite articles previously published in Jurnal Poros

12. Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts will be returned to the author(s) for final proofreading and correction within the deadline specified by the editorial team.

13. The manuscript must be written following the Jurnal Poros Template.
